Mediation is a process that brings together those in dispute to help them come to a resolution by themselves without going to court.

Each party has an opportunity to be heard and put their side of the issue across in their own words.

Mediators are not on anyone’s side. They don’t judge anyone but aren’t afraid to ask tricky questions. They will support each party through the process and listen to each side.

Mediators do not provide legal advice. Please consult Citizens Advice or a legal advisor if you need to clarify your position in advance of mediation.

Commitment to confidentiality ensures that all conversations remain private, ensuring a safe and secure space for you to express your concerns.

If resolution is reached a document can be drawn up to capture what has been agreed.

Mediation is a quicker option than the court process and can be less stressful.

Conflict Coaching

Conflict Coaching supports individuals to deal constructively with a specific area of tension or issue. It is a one-to-one, confidential, and impartial process.

Conflict coaching sessions can take place up to 3 sessions and each session can last up to 1 hour. The number of sessions is decided by you based on the support you need.

Conflict coaching uses the skills of mediation to support you in exploring your situation. It helps you look at how the situation has affected you, and how you can respond differently but in ways that will work for you going forward. It can be useful in cases whether the other party does not wish to engage in mediation.

Conflict coaching is suitable at any point in a conflict but like Mediation, it is most effective at an early stage in the process. This allows you to create constructive, workable solutions before the relationship or communication deteriorates further.
